Qualifications

Role

As a Database Administrator, you’ll be part of our Platforms and Hosting Team, supporting critical database services across SQL Server and Oracle environments. You’ll help ensure performance, reliability and security making a real impact on the systems that support national defence and engineering excellence.

Day-to-day, you’ll be working within a well-established DBA team to support the SQL Server and Oracle database services for both Production and Development.

  • Maintaining accounts, permissions and auditing for data security
  • Performing daily checks and responding to alerts
  • Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes
  • Investigating incidents affecting mission-critical systems
  • Administering installations, patching and upgrades for SQL Server and Oracle

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Experience
  • MS SQL Server 2016+ (AOAG, SSIS, SSRS, monitoring tools)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio, Integration Services, Reporting Services
  • Windows and Oracle Linux infrastructure experience
  • Oracle 12c+ (RMAN, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, APEX, WebLogic)
