Job summary

Kharon, based in London, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer, Agentic Systems, to own Corestream development, advance semantic search capabilities, and deliver graph-informed retrieval. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to evolve risk intelligence and narrative generation for customers.

The role emphasizes ownership, hands-on engineering, and the creation of meaningful search experiences using BM25, vector search, RAG, and graph-aware approaches. Hybrid work in London is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Science or AI Engineering role
• Hands-on experience with semantic search including BM25, vector search, reranking, and retrieval evaluation
• Experience with RAG pipelines and agentic systems in production
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong product alignment—able to read a roadmap, own tickets, and drive initiatives independently
• Bonus: Experience with graph-aware search or integrating knowledge graph outputs into retrieval systems

Responsibilities

• Owning and evolving Corestream, Kharon's risk intelligence feed across entity-level insights and narrative-based risks
• Redesigning semantic search capabilities and applying BM25 tuning, semantic distance, RAG, and reranking
• Integrating risk analysis outputs into the search layer to surface meaningful insights
• Leading the narrative generation pipeline that turns graph and analytics into written intelligence
• Partnering with Product and Engineering to own the Corestream roadmap and push it forward
• Tweaking and optimizing metrics defining search quality and narrative relevance
