JP Morgan Chase is seeking a Lead Data Scientist within Governance and Controls Technology to design and deliver trusted AI/ML solutions at scale. You will collaborate across functions, own end-to-end development, and mentor team members while advancing responsible AI practices.

You will work with LangChain/LangGraph, GenAI models, and Databricks to build production-ready data pipelines and NLP applications, driving impact for the firm and its customers in a fast-paced, secure environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practices
• Practical cloud native experience
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Applied experience in data science, machine learning, or related areas
• Strong programming skills in Python with experience in PySpark, Spark SQL, and manipulating data
• Experience LLM Orchestration and Agentic AI libraries
• Proficiency in using GenAI models (OpenAI or similar) to solve business problems
• Experience in building AI Agents, Agentic frameworks
• Experience in building and managing data lakes and data processing workflows using Databricks
• Ability to leverage AI agents and tools, such as Co-Pilot, to enhance productivity and code quality
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate ideas and results clearly to stakeholders
• Fast learner with the ability to quickly develop Proof of Concepts and advance them to production
