Job summary

Hiscox Insurance Company is seeking a Data Scientist to tackle high-impact challenges and shape data-driven decisions across the London Market. You will apply statistics, ML, and Generative AI to deliver analytics, experiments, and predictive models. The role sits in a multi-disciplinary team driving innovation and business value.

You will communicate insights to stakeholders, learn continuously, and help advance Hiscox's data culture and governance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
Practical data science experience solving business problems.
Experience in finance or insurance is advantageous but not required.
Ability to explain complex analyses to stakeholders clearly.

Responsibilities

Develop inputs to business information using empirical research and emerging methodologies.
Deliver end-to-end data solutions, handling large and small data sets and ML/Generative AI techniques.
Collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional teams including product and business units.
Contribute to building Hiscox's data culture and evidence-based decision making.
