Job summary

Motia in Leeds is hiring a Data Scientist to work with the Head of Business Intelligence across the full data lifecycle. You will develop advanced models, build scalable data solutions and contribute to the data and AI strategy as we transition to Microsoft Fabric.

You will partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities, transform data into insights, and deploy predictive models that support customer acquisition, retention and margin optimisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar analytical role.
• Strong Python, R and SQL for data manipulation, analysis and modelling.
• Solid understanding of statistics, ML techniques and optimization.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Qlik, Power BI, Matplotlib).
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop data science roadmaps.
• Transform complex data into actionable insights and data products for decision making.
• Apply advanced analytics and AI to improve performance and proactive decision making.
• Design and deploy predictive and optimization models for customer acquisition, retention and margin.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to integrate data sources and build data pipelines.
• Create clear documentation for models, datasets and projects.
• Deliver dashboards and data products to communicate insights to stakeholders.
