Responsibilities
  • Drive collaboration with cross‑functional teams to identify business problems and translate them into data‑driven solutions and deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance to other data scientists within the team.
  • Develop algorithms and statistical & machine learning models to analyse and interpret complex data sets.
  • Communicate insights and results to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Interact with clients or stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable insights or solutions.
  • Be accountable for data quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of data science.
General Requirements
  • Proven experience as a data scientist using Python and a range of libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit‑Learn, Matplotlib, Plotly, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in statistical modelling, machine learning, and data mining techniques, particularly using time‑series data.
  • Data engineering (pipelines, databases, infrastructure), ideally with AWS experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience with data analysis, data visualization, and data cleansing.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • An engineering or motorsport background is desirable but not strictly required.
  • Experience in applying data science with the context of engineering, manufacturing or industrial operations desirable.
  • Reinforcement learning (i.e., data‑driven modelling + control optimisation) desirable.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field desirable.

  • Able to use data science techniques to efficiently solve problems.
  • Able to break down complex or ambiguous tasks into specific deliverables.
  • Result‑orientated (understanding the use of data science in the context of the problem).
  • Good organisational skills, balancing the requirements of a range of projects with a controlled approach to your work.

  • Self‑motivated, demonstrating initiative, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
