Senior Data Scientist

Guildford / WFH to £80k.

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a scaling technology company that produces software solutions for the defence and civil aviation sector. In this senior, hands‑on role you will develop actionable insights across a suite of projects, primarily in Aviation and Defence – from rigorous statistical analysis to the development of advanced, computationally intensive numerical models.

Location / WFH: Work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the Guildford office 1‑2 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Develop advanced statistical models and computational algorithms.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines in Python, ingest, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to translate analytical insights into product features.
  • Work on large‑scale aviation and defence projects, producing production‑ready solutions.
Qualifications
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Advanced statistical knowledge and experience developing computational models.
  • Degree in a relevant mathematical, statistical, or engineering discipline from a top‑tier university.
  • Experience partnering with software engineers and delivering production‑ready solutions.
  • Ability to obtain or already hold an SC Clearance (British citizenship, continuous UK residence for the past 5 years).
