Job summary

Harnham in Knowsley, UK is seeking a Data Scientist to join a growing data and AI transformation. You will work closely with the Data Science Lead and a small team to develop and productionise machine learning solutions that drive business value.

You will tackle use cases such as customer segmentation, lifetime value modelling and demand forecasting, collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders, and translate business problems into deployable data science outputs.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering DS solutions from problem framing to deployment.
• Strong Python experience with real-world datasets.
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience building and validating ML models.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy models that support customer and commercial decision making.

• Contribute to the development of a scalable Data Science platform.

The organisation is investing in building a modern Data Science capability to support decision making across commercial and customer functions. Data is increasingly central to their strategy, particularly with the launch of a new customer loyalty programme.

The Role

You will work closely with the Data Science Lead and a small but growing team to develop and productionise machine learning solutions.

• Build and deploy models that support customer and commercial decision making
• Work on use cases such as customer segmentation, lifetime value modelling and demand forecasting
• Contribute to the development of a scalable Data Science platform
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders
• Translate business problems into data science solutions and clearly communicate outputs

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong commercial experience in Data Science using Python
• Solid SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
• End to end experience delivering Data Science solutions from problem definition through to deployment
• Experience building and validating machine learning models
