Mentor Talent Acquisition is helping a profitable AI company build LLM-powered research tools for private markets. We seek a Data Scientist to join the London team focused on commercial and product analytics, not pure research. You will forecast revenue, analyze feature adoption, predict churn, and build leadership reports.

The role emphasizes turning data into clear stories, with AI-forward tooling and a high-visibility impact across product and sales.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL with real-world, messy data.
• Proficient in Python (pandas, plotting libraries).
• Experience with BI/dashboarding tools (Metabase/Looker/Tableau).
• Experience with product analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel).
• Comfortable working with CRM data and turning insights into a story.
• Self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, AI-forward.

We're hiring on behalf of a profitable, bootstrapped AI company building LLM-powered research tools for the private markets - trusted by several of the world's top private equity and consulting firms. They grew 10x last year and are now looking for a Data Scientist to join their London team.

This is a high-impact, first-of-its-kind role focused on commercial and product analytics - not a pure data science research position.

What you'll work on:

• Revenue and cashflow forecasting from product usage data


• Feature adoption and engagement analysis to guide product priorities


• Customer health scoring and churn prediction


• CRM data quality, enrichment and pipeline work


• Sales funnel analysis end-to-end


• Building automated executive reporting for leadership

What we're looking for:

• Strong SQL - confident working with complex, messy, real-world data


• Proficient in Python (pandas, plotly/matplotlib etc.)


• Experience with a BI/dashboarding tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau or similar)


• Experience with product analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel or similar)


• Comfortable working directly with CRM data


• A strong communicator who can turn data into a clear story


• Self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, AI-forward (comfortable \"vibe coding\" and using AI tools)


• Bonus: experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or enterprise software
