Job summary

NatWest Group is recruiting for a Data Science Graduate trainee. The 12-month programme equips you with knowledge, skills, and experiences to become a leading data science expert.

You will develop deep technical expertise, collaborate on real business projects, and gain hands-on experience with AI, ML, and state-of-the-art cloud technologies, while learning end-to-end model development and deployment.

Qualifications

• To be eligible, must have or be on track for a 2:1 in a STEM degree.
• A genuine passion for data science, AI, and helping customers.
• Good problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and championing change and innovation.
• Resilient, curious, and inquisitive.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep technical expertise in data science alongside experienced professionals.
• Collaborate on real business projects to solve complex problems in areas such as Economic Crime or Climate.
• Gain understanding of how data science enhances customer experiences across Retail, Wealth and Commercial franchises.
• Gain hands-on experience with key tools and technologies and develop models using cloud tech and generative AI frameworks.
• Learn the full lifecycle of AI solutions from ideation to deployment, monitoring and improvement.
• Work with large, complex datasets applying statistical analysis, ML and visualization to uncover insights.
