Job summary

Alfred H Knight is seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst to join the Operational Data Strategy team at the Prescot head office. You will build Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and data models to support strategic decision-making across a global TIC environment.

You will work hands-on to translate datasets into clear, visual stories for senior stakeholders, collaborate with a Senior Analyst, and contribute to ongoing digital transformation and BI delivery in a multi-country context.

Qualifications

• Power BI capability with interactive dashboards, reports and data visualisations.
• DAX measures, Power Query ETL transformations and data modelling.
• Data preparation, validation and integration from multiple enterprise systems (CRM, LIMS, Finance, ERP).
• Advanced Excel for data manipulation, pivots and reconciliation of data discrepancies.
• Ability to interpret complex operational data into concise insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Data & Reporting Analyst to join our Operational Data Strategy team based at our global head office in Prescot (Liverpool).

As our business continues its rapid global growth and ongoing digital transformation, we are heavily investing in turning operational, commercial, and financial data into actionable business intelligence. Operating within a complex Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) environment across 35+ countries, you will work closely alongside a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst to build high-quality Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and robust data models that empower strategic decision-making

across global leaders.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for an analytical professional who loves delving into datasets, crafting DAX measures, and translating complex metrics into clear, visual stories for senior stakeholders.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Power BI Capability: Strong, demonstrable hands-on capability in Power BI, including building interactive dashboards, custom reports, and data visualisations.
• DAX & Power Query: Solid experience developing data models, writing DAX measures, and creating repeatable ETL transformations using Power Query.
• Data Preparation & Validation: Proven ability to clean, transform, and validate complex datasets sourced from multiple enterprise systems (such as CRM, LIMS, Finance, or ERP).
• Spreadsheet Capabilities: Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, pivot tables, and independent reconciliation of data discrepancies.
• Stakeholder Insights: Strong ability to interpret complex operational data and translate it into concise, decision- useful insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented: High attention to detail with a curious, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong communicator: Clear verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to engage across cross-functional business teams.
• Self-motivated & organised: Comfortable working independently under guidance within a dynamic digital transformation environment.
• Eagerness to learn: Passionate about continuing to learn, adapt, and progress technical capabilities over time.

Required Work Experience

• Practical experience operating in a dedicated Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or BI role.
• Practical proficiency with SQL (querying, aggregating, and joining datasets) is advantageous.
• Exposure to workflow automation tools (Power Automate / Power Apps) or KPI reporting frameworks is preferred.
• Experience within TIC, laboratory, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is desirable.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical discipline (or equivalent practical industry experience).
