Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Data Quality Manager to join the Neonatal Service on a 12-month fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover. You will ensure high-quality, accurate data to support patient care, reporting and service improvement.

Working with clinical and admin teams, you will oversee data quality processes, identify discrepancies, and drive improvements in information collected across the service.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily data quality checks and validation of neonatal records, ensuring information is complete, accurate and consistent.
  • Validate HRG levels and clinical data in line with BAPM/HRG guidance, identifying and correcting data that may affect coding or reporting.
  • Maintain accurate NNAP, BadgerNet, PAS and PPM data, including following up missing information with clinical teams and other hospitals.
  • Monitor and investigate data quality dashboards, escalating discrepancies to relevant clinicians and making amendments where required.
  • Produce data reports and extracts from BadgerNet and other systems to support quality improvement, audits, FOIs and national reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to patient demographics, outcomes, surveillance and mortality, ensuring information is appropriately reported to relevant organisations.
  • Carry out Data Warehouse checks, identifying issues such as duplicate or orphaned episodes, mandatory data omissions and discrepancies.
  • Provide BadgerNet system support, including creating users, password resets, data requests and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Act as a key point of contact for IT and system-related issues, liaising with Digital/IT teams and supporting the provision and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Work closely with clinical, administrative and external teams to resolve data quality issues and ensure timely and accurate information is available for patient care, reporting and service improvement.

What You Will Bring To The Role
