Job summary

Danos Group is seeking a Data Protection Specialist to join their London team. The role focuses on providing privacy guidance across financial services, including investment management and pensions, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance.

You will work across products and functions, shaping policies, advising stakeholders, and helping manage data protection risks while tracking evolving UK data protection requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in data protection, privacy, or information governance within financial services.
• Strong understanding of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day data protection and privacy advice to the business across products and functions.
• Support the development, review, and maintenance of data protection policies and governance frameworks.
• Advise stakeholders on data protection requirements for new products, projects and processes.
• Support the management of data protection risks, including data breaches, subject access requests, DPIAs, and other privacy matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assist with changes to ensure UK data protection compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day data protection and privacy advice to the business across a range of products and functions.
• Support the development, review, and maintenance of data protection policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Advise stakeholders on data protection requirements relating to new products, projects, processes, and business initiatives.
• Support the management of data protection risks, including data breaches, subject access requests, DPIAs, and other privacy matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support the implementation of changes to ensure ongoing compliance with UK data protection requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience in data protection, privacy, or information governance within financial services.
• Good knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to start within a month
