Job summary

A not-for-profit client is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer to lead compliance with data protection legislation. This role offers a hybrid working pattern, with 3 days from home and 2 in the office. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of GDPR, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously. My not-for-profit client is looking to recruit an experienced Data Protection Officer for a permanent position based at their offices in central Sevenoaks, Kent. Reporting to the Head of Governance & Risk this position will lead, and take responsibility for, compliance and adherence to data protection legislation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and review data protection documentation.
  • Act as lead contact with ICO.
  • Provide advice and training on all matters involving data protection compliance.
  • Deal with Data Subject Access Requests.
Qualifications
  • Experienced DPO role with strong understanding of GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
  • Autonomous working with the expertise to analyse & interpret data protection legislation.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Able to write policies and corporate documents.

A hybrid working pattern is available with this role with 3 days a week working from home and 2 days in the office. There could also be some additional flexibility on a case-by-case basis.
