About The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Data Protection professional with a passion for upholding the highest standards of information governance? We are seeking an exceptional Data Protection Manager to join Staffordshire Police. This is a critical statutory role where you will protect our data and ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. In addition to your responsibilities as Data Protection Manager, you will also act as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer (DPO), providing independent oversight and expert advice on all data protection matters.

This isn’t just an advisory role; you’ll be a key influencer. You should be a strategic thinker with the analytical and communication skills to advise our Deputy Chief Constable and other senior leaders. You’ll work independently to manage data breaches, lead compliance activities, develop robust internal policies, and drive compliance activities across the organisation.

We’re looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual with demonstrable experience in a senior data protection, legal, or governance role. Experience within law enforcement or the public sector would be a significant advantage. If you bring integrity, a proactive approach, and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you.
