Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Farnborough seeks a Data Protection Advisor to support the Group Head of Business Governance in data protection activities, acting as a DPO, with interface across Procurement and Commercial Teams and group entities. Travel to other sites may be required.

You will monitor UK/Global data protection changes, manage DPIAs, and help close compliance gaps while providing expert guidance and training. Eligible for SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, including Records of Processing and DPIA registers.
• Experience interpreting data protection contractual requirements and implementing risk controls.
• Excellent communication and ability to deliver practical compliance guidance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Records of Processing, DPIA registers, and incident logs.
• Review DPIAs and agree mitigation actions with stakeholders.
• Lead engagement with internal teams to implement data protection agreements and compliance frameworks.
• Provide guidance on data protection policies and compliance requirements.
