Job summary

SquarePoint Capital is seeking a Data Platform developer to design, implement, and optimize Python libraries, frameworks, and services. You will work with React frontends to ensure data applications meet evolving requirements and partner with data operations to improve velocity and reduce debt.

Requirements include a STEM degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, with strong Python skills and knowledge of data transfer protocols. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Practical knowledge of data transfer protocols/tools (e.g., FTP, SFTP, HTTP APIs, AWS S3).
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, optimize and troubleshoot Python libraries, frameworks and services.
• Design and add features to React frontends with technologists to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with data operations and pipeline teams to improve development velocity and reduce technical debt.
• Produce technical docs such as requirements and design docs and production runbooks.
