Engineers Gate in London is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Core Technology Team and help build and scale the firm’s data platform used by investment teams. You’ll work with portfolio managers and researchers to turn data requirements into usable datasets and tools.

You will own projects from requirements to delivery, evaluate new data sources, create reliable processing workflows, and improve infrastructure for faster, more reliable data integration.

Qualifikationen

• 1–2 years of professional software or data engineering experience.
• Programming experience in Python.
• Familiarity with data pipelines/ETL tools, relational databases, and SQL.

Aufgaben

• Take data projects from initial requirements through to delivery, working closely with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers.
• Investigate structured and unstructured financial datasets, understand their coverage and limitations, and build robust workflows to process them.
• Develop and improve the infrastructure that makes data available across the firm.
• Build reusable tools for data analysis and quality checks, applying what you learn from each dataset to the next.
