Job summary

United Welsh is modernising its data estate and seeking a Data Engineer to develop and maintain a scalable data platform. You will participate in PoCs for Microsoft Fabric, test data factory, lakehouse components and integrate with Power BI for analytics and reporting.

You will collaborate with BI Partners, the Data Governance Analyst and stakeholders to deliver reliable data assets, implement security controls and promote governance across Wales-based services.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development and data integration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure data technologies and cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and related components.
• Knowledge of data governance, security and quality principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake and related Microsoft technologies.
• Develop and support data pipelines ingesting, transforming and curating data.
• Maintain a modern Lakehouse-style architecture with Bronze, Silver and Gold layers.
• Ensure data quality, governance and documentation across platforms.
