Job summary

Xpertise Recruitment is assisting a forward-thinking organisation in Milton Keynes with the recruitment of a Data Platform Engineer to build and enhance an Azure-based data platform for trusted reporting, analytics and future AI initiatives.

You will design, build and operate scalable data pipelines using Azure and Databricks, ingest data from multiple systems and implement robust ETL/ELT processes. This hybrid role offers exposure to modern cloud data tech.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience building cloud based data platforms.
• Strong Databricks experience.
• Strong SQL and Python development skills.
• Exposure to Scala would be highly advantageous.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics or similar cloud data services.
• Understanding of data governance, security and data quality principles.
• Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
