Job summary

Lendable is building a modern data platform to enable fast analytics in a fast-growing fintech environment. You will own areas of the data platform, tackling complex problems with autonomy and collaborating with product, analytics and engineering teams to deliver pragmatic, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes reliability, cost awareness and security, with a tech stack including Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Kubernetes and more.

Qualifications

• Solid programming ability (Python or similar).
• Strong experience with Snowflake (or similar data warehouses).
• Good understanding of software engineering patterns and architectures.

About the RoleAs a Data Platform Engineer, you'll work alongside senior team members to tackle complex challenges, while taking ownership of your own areas of the problem, in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same. The role is fundamentally about problem solving: understanding business challenges, breaking them down, and delivering pragmatic, scalable solutions.

You’ll work closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams, operating with a high degree of autonomy. That means proactively gathering context, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring work lands effectively.

Data Platform sits at the centre of the business, with a real opportunity to shape how teams interact with data. The focus is on enabling fast, iterative analytics, moving from idea to insight quickly, while maintaining strong foundations around reliability, cost, and security.

Our Modern Tech StackYou’ll work across a broad set of technologies as we evolve the platform. Experience is helpful, but not essential:

• Languages: Python, SQL, Terragrunt, JavaScript
• Cloud: AWS (primary), some GCP
• Warehouse & Storage: Snowflake, S3/Parquet
• Data & ETL: dbt, Fivetran
• Platform & Infra: Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Argo, GitHub Actions, HashiCorp Vault
• Observability: Datadog, Grafana

What we’re looking forStrong fundamentals and the ability to apply them pragmatically:

• Solid programming ability (Python or similar)
• Strong experience with Snowflake (or similar warehouses)
• Good understanding of software engineering patterns and architectures
• Experience building data-intensive systems
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform ideally)
• CI/CD best practices
• Familiarity with modern data architectures (Lambda/Kappa)
