Job summary

TP ICAP Group Services Ltd in Belfast is seeking a Data Ops Engineer to design, build and maintain robust data pipelines for trade surveillance data. You will ensure data completeness, quality, and timely delivery while collaborating with engineers, analysts and compliance teams.

The role requires strong Python/Java, SQL and AWS experience, familiarity with Airflow, dbt and Spark, and a practical understanding of CI/CD and Agile delivery in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Strong ETL/ELT data pipelines experience in financial data contexts.
• Background in Data Ops/Data Engineering and CI/CD.
• Proficient in Python or Java, SQL and modern data pipeline tools.
• Experience with Agile software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines.
• Implement data quality checks and reconciliation.
• Identify critical data elements and ensure failover.
• Build AWS infra using Terraform or CDK; write tests.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers to resolve data anomalies.
• Ensure data governance and lineage across pipelines.
