The Rugby Football Union (RFU) is seeking a technically capable and detail‑oriented Data Operations Analyst to support the effective use of data across the RFU. The use of data is growing within the RFU and this position is vital in ensuring its accuracy and value across the organisation.
The role will involve the day‑to‑day management of the RFU’s Data Warehouse together with the support of associated processes such as data ingestion and transformation. Data is taken from a wide range of sources including the Game Management System (GMS) ticketing and other commercial areas. Working with other members of the Digital and Technology Team alongside third‑party support partners you’ll play a key part in maintaining data integrity, troubleshooting data quality and pipeline issues, and enabling reliable reporting and insights. This role bridges analytics and data engineering – ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a desire to grow deeper technical skills. The role will provide plenty of scope for technical growth for the right candidate working collaboratively with departments across the RFU including our Architecture team, Marketing and support partners.
The role will report to the Business Applications Manager and assist the Data Architect on a day‑to‑day basis.
The Digital Technology department is a small but vital team at the RFU providing support and development capabilities across a wide variety of platforms and solutions. Supporting everything from match‑day infrastructure to day‑to‑day business operations, the team provides the technology to run all aspects of rugby from grassroots through to national teams.
