Are you skilled in analysing complex datasets and building clear, meaningful scenario models? Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Data Modeller to support our energy transition planning work. You will play a key role in developing future energy system scenarios that explore the shift from gas to electricity and the potential introduction of hydrogen across the region.
Working as part of the Energy and Net Zero team, you will use prepared datasets and a bespoke GIS tool to build approximately four modelled scenarios, helping shape strategic decisions for a more sustainable future. You'll work collaboratively with internal experts for guidance, but you will be comfortable producing high‑quality analytical outputs independently.
You will have a strong analytical mindset and excellent data manipulation skills, with the ability to interpret datasets and extrapolate future trends. While prior experience in the energy sector is not required, you must be confident in working with complex datasets and building scenario models.
