This role is Inside IR35.

Location:Southwark and Stratford, Tues – Thurs most busy. 50% Hybrid

Clearance: DBS

Contract Length:Laptop provided, year long contract

Desirable
  • Power BI qualification desirable but not essential
Must have
  • Finance background (with proof of spending experience)
  • Experienced Power BI Modeller
  • Extensive use of Microsoft power platform products including PowerBI, PowerApps and Power Automate to an expert/power user ability
  • Knowledge of key principles of modelling and analysis
  • Review and improve the current modelling offering to meet the standards required for best practice data modelling.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex information, and detail conscious and able to identify errors/inconsistencies
  • Extensive experience of taking accounting systems or process issues to resolution and interpreting and reporting complex financial information, identifying conflicting information and data to a consistently high standard
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of SAP and key principles of modelling and analysis
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel to an expert/power user ability
  • Extensive use of Microsoft power platform products including PowerBI, PowerApps and Power Automate to an expert/power user ability
  • Knowledge of data and database structures
Skills
  • Solid conceptual, analytical and quantitative skills (including Excel and SAP), e.g. through CIMA qualifications, or relevant degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to deliver to tight deadlines, with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex information, and detail conscious and able to identify errors/inconsistencies
  • Considerable expertise in DAX, MQuery, R or Python or similar would also be extremely beneficial
  • Skills in project management, together with the necessary attention to detail, tenacity in pursuing results and ability to handle a number of tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to plan and organise own work and to deliver quality outputs under pressure and ability to build effective working relationships and participate in virtual teams across the business and with external parties.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven experience of developing relationships with colleagues in their own team and in other departments.
  • Very strong sense of responsibility.
Experience
  • Extensive experience manipulating and using complex spreadsheets and advanced financial SAP R/3, BW experience, and other SAP modules desirable
  • Extensive experience of taking accounting systems or process issues to resolution and in interpreting and reporting complex financial information, identifying conflicting information and data to a consistently high standard
  • Experience of developing and sustaining productive working relationships at all levels, with proven experience of influencing/changing behaviours at a management level.
  • Experience in driving improvements to systems to the benefit of users in a large and complex organisation
  • Able to negotiate, influence and challenge at managerial level and extensive database management experience
  • Experience in using modern Finance/ERP systems
