Job summary

A growing tech company in Northern Ireland seeks a skilled SQL Migrations Developer to join their team. The role involves designing migration solutions for a global client base, with flexibility for out-of-hours production migrations. Candidates should have at least 5 years of SQL development experience and be proactive in motivating and innovating within the team. Experience in the Insolvency or Financial Services sectors is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience working within a SQL Developer role or similarly titled.
  • Minimum 5 years working on ETL Data Migrations.
  • Minimum 3 years working in Azure SQL environments in a SQL Development capacity.

Job description

A skilled SQL Migrations Developer is required to join a small but growing team. Initially the successful candidate will be working on a large project to migrate a global client base numbering in the hundreds from multiple legacy applications into a single global Azure SaaS product.

The developer will be expected to use their technical experience in designing a migration solution with the rest of the team which will allow migrations to be run efficiently and at high volume.

The candidate will need to be flexible around working hours as production migrations will often be run out of hours.

The candidate will be highly proactive in terms of self-starting and motivating and introducing innovation and continuous improvement to the team.

Experience of working in Insolvency or Financial Services would also be highly beneficial.

Education
  • Minimum 2.1 degree in IT or an equivalent technical subject.
Work Experience
  • Required – Minimum 5 years experience working within a SQL Developer role or similarly titled.
  • Required – Minimum 5 years working on ETL Data Migrations.
  • Required – Minimum 3 years working in Azure SQL environments in a SQL Development capacity.
  • Highly Desirable – Experience of Insolvency or Financial Services sectors.
