Data Migration Specialist - TechnologyOne

We are looking for a Data Migration Specialist to join our Consulting team and help organisations leverage the full potential of TechnologyOne's innovative solutions. As a specialist for our SaaS ERP solutions, you will be responsible for planning and executing the migration of customer data from legacy systems into our cloud‑based ERP platform, with a particular focus on Student Management, Financials, HRP and Asset Management data and systems.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Lead end‑to‑end data migration projects for Student Management, Financials, HRP and Asset Management systems.
• Work closely with the Delivery Team to understand the data needed to support configuration and business processes in the target SaaS ERP system.
• Collaborate with clients to analyse legacy data structures adhering to business rules and reporting requirements.
• Design and implement data mapping, transformation and validation processes tailored to each product area.
• Develop migration templates, scripts and automation tools to streamline data transfer and minimise errors.
• Identify data cleansing, allow the customer to enrich and normalise to ensure high‑quality data in the target SaaS ERP system.
• Conduct test migrations and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with customer and delivery teams.
• Create reconciliation reports to maintain data integrity and ensure no data is lost in the migration process.
• Ensure all migration activities comply with data privacy, security and regulatory policies and standards relevant to education, local government, finance, HR and asset management.
• Document migration processes, lessons learned and provide knowledge transfer to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of migration methodologies, tools and best practices.
• Proven experience in data migration for SaaS ERP platforms, ideally with Student Management, Financials, HRP and Asset Management systems.
• Strong preference for TechnologyOne experience or equivalent ERP solutions in Education or Local Government (e.g. Tribal SITS, Ellucian Banner, Unit4, Workday, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP S/4HANA Cloud).
• Solid grasp of relational databases, data modelling and transformation logic.
• Proficient in SQL and scripting (e.g. Python, PowerShell), with hands‑on experience in ETL tools and integration platforms.
• Familiarity with compliance standards across education, finance, HR and asset management.
• Skilled in analysis, troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
• Effective communicator with strong client‑facing capabilities.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of APIs and integration frameworks.
• Relevant certifications in data management, ERP or associated technologies.
