The Business Change Team assists all London Market teams in developing market‑leading capabilities across people, processes and systems. Projects stem from process improvement, integration of new ventures and regulatory delivery, and range from large‑scale system upgrades to tactical solutions that unlock new opportunities. The Team comprises 6 Product Managers, 8 Product Owners and 14 Business Analysts, scaling with project demands. The Business Analyst role works closely with Underwriting, Operations and Technology teams, challenging stakeholders to deliver better, faster and cheaper solutions.

The Project/Initiative

This position is part of the Unity project, focused on the Guernsey business. Unity consolidates seven legacy systems into one new platform. Your responsibility is to manage the data migration, ensuring seamless continuity of trading. You will maintain and update the migration strategy, deliver comprehensive scope, uphold data quality principles, and guarantee security. Unity falls under the broader Crisis Management value stream, supporting an MGA in Miami and a U.S. book of business. The role requires an agile mindset and strong leadership skills.

Core Responsibilities
  • Product Ownership
    • Manage the backlog and burndown of data migration tickets, keeping the programme on track for go‑live.
    • Maintain JIRA dashboards to ensure transparency of progress.
    • Provide migration status reporting and manage risks and issues.
  • Strategy
    • Define the data migration strategy in line with programme objectives.
    • Analyse and document functional and non‑functional requirements aligned with business priorities.
    • Write user stories derived from core business needs.
    • Translate business requirements into solution/technical specifications.
  • Business Process Development
    • Gain in‑depth knowledge of business goals, priorities and processes.
    • Document and analyse as‑is processes, recommending improvements.
    • Design, validate and document efficient to‑be processes that align with the target operating model.
    • Plan and embed process maintenance post‑handed‑over to operational continuous improvement.
  • Change Management
    • Assess impacts on people, processes and systems.
    • Design and manage UAT processes and scripts for migration‑specific test cases.
    • Contribute to ongoing solution design and user support post‑transition.
  • Data Management
    • Lead the data migration squad to embed data analysis, recovery and security into solutions.
    • Ensure delivery scope is met.
    • Manage transition of risks between systems.
    • Identify a clear source of truth.
The Person

The ideal candidate is inquisitive and enjoys collaborating with teams to uncover root causes and strategic opportunities. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity and guiding others through uncertainty.

Our Must Haves
  • Experience leading medium‑sized projects in a Business Analyst capacity.
  • Experience working in a matrix team across multiple internal and external partners, including third‑party suppliers.
  • Strong relationship building and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Agile experience and proficiency with Jira.
  • Commercially and customer‑oriented mindset; able to analyze and interpret data to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
  • Experience in business process design and implementation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills.
  • Advanced Visio or equivalent process‑modelling software skills.
  • Excellent workshop facilitation skills.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge or experience working in the Lloyd’s London Market.
  • Formal Business Analysis qualification or membership (e.g., International Diploma in Business Analysis).
  • Experience collaborating with data science or machine‑learning engineering teams or products.
