Harrington Starr is recruiting a Technical Delivery Lead to drive end-to-end data platform initiatives for a major global banking client in London. You will combine strategic delivery leadership with hands-on engineering in a complex enterprise environment.

You will own design and delivery of data engineering programmes, design scalable solutions using Python, Spark and Databricks, mentor engineers and shape architecture across Lakehouse platforms, with strong stakeholder interaction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years within data or software engineering.
• Experience leading complex data engineering programmes.
• Advanced Databricks expertise.
• Strong data architecture and Lakehouse design knowledge.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability.

Responsibilities

A major global banking organisation is expanding its data engineering capability and requires a senior Technical Delivery Lead to drive the successful delivery of strategic data platform initiatives.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front—combining technical leadership, operational delivery and hands-on engineering expertise within complex enterprise environments.

You'll own the delivery of critical data engineering programmes while actively contributing to design, development and technical decision-making across the platform.

The Role

This is a high-impact leadership position where you'll be responsible for both strategic delivery and deep technical execution.
