My client is seeking a Data Management Lead in the London area.

The Data Management Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the UK Leasing business by ensuring the delivery of high-quality market data that provides a competitive edge.

This role involves overseeing all data-related activities, implementing and enforcing data governance policies, and managing a team of data professionals. You will act as a subject matter expert on data management, collaborating closely with business users to understand challenges and develop strategic roadmaps.

Key responsibilities include establishing robust frameworks for data collection, maintenance, and accessibility, leading data projects such as cleansing and migration, troubleshooting data issues, and continuously monitoring information systems to identify improvement opportunities.

This is a site based role in London and is paying Circa 65k.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies across the UK Leasing business.
  • Establish and maintain frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Lead data-related projects including cleansing, enrichment, and migration initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyse data systems to evaluate performance and identify enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and authorise data maintenance and modifications as required.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and challenges.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data specialists to meet organisational goals.
Required Skills
  • Minimum 3 years experience in data governance or data management roles.
  • Proven team management and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of data administration functions including collection, analysis, and distribution.
  • Experience implementing and improving data governance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data querying and visualisation tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Strong organisational and strategic planning skills.
