Job description

Join our Net Zero Team as a Data Intelligence and Support Manager. Lead the transformation of data usage for our Net Zero and Asset Management goals, creating sustainable, energy-efficient homes. You will design data architecture, products, and software solutions, manage a skilled data team, and drive the transition to Microsoft Fabric. Responsibilities include developing models and dashboards to monitor asset performance and carbon emissions, utilizing advanced analysis and AI for impactful insights. This role combines technical challenges with leadership responsibilities and a purpose-driven mission.

  • Lead the design and implementation of data architecture for Assets and Net Zero using Microsoft Fabric Medallion and Kimball principles.
  • Oversee advanced data analysis, including reconciliation processes and dashboards to support strategy and investment. Utilize SQL, Python, API integration, Power BI, and advanced Excel for high-quality insights.
  • Manage the migration from on-premise data warehousing to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data integrity and effective change management.
  • Ensure data quality and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with senior managers to assess AI solutions that enhance performance and service delivery. Direct data projects from procurement to implementation, meeting integration and business needs.
  • Maintain business models for solar PV and battery portfolios, focusing on revenue forecasting and performance analysis. Produce carbon and energy performance reports for ESG reporting.
  • Lead a small data team, ensuring effective delivery and development.
    Experience designing and leading data architecture development and implementation.
  • Proven experience in advanced data analysis, interpreting complex data from multiple sources.
  • Strong background in business modelling and performance reporting for investment or sustainability projects.
  • Understanding of energy, carbon reduction or environmental performance projects.
  • Expertise in SQL Server database architecture, data process design, and solution design.
  • Skilled in Power BI, Python, APIs, and advanced Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • BSc or MSc in Data Science, Data Analytics, or a relevant field (or equivalent).
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

  • Starting salary of £56,782 per annum
  • 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays
  • You will be expected to work 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
  • Hybrid working: After your induction, your typical schedule will consist of two days in our Blackburn BB1 office and three days working remotely. We offer flexible arrangements that support our Smart Working culture.
