Role Title: Data & Impact Manager

Salary: Circa £30K

Contract Type: Full Time - (37.5 Hours)

Reports to: Executive Head of Operations & Programmes

Location: Leeds United, Elland Road, Leeds, LS11 0ES

Leeds United Foundation was incorporated in 2010. From its inception as Football in the Community to now years delivering as a charity, we offer a range of sports, Education, and Wellbeing activities across all age groups. Our activity is currently delivered across multiple programme types and all age groups under three programme themes, health, education, and participation. These have all been created in response to the needs of the people of Leeds.

Purpose of the Role

The Impact & Data Manager will drive evidence-based impact across the Foundation. This role is central to understanding and communicating the difference we make, ensuring our data, reporting, and insights inform strategic decisions and strengthen our social value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extract, manage, and analyse data from Salesforce and other systems to track programme performance.
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards and impact reports for internal and external audiences, including trustees, funders, and community partners.
  • Work with project leads to capture consistent data across programmes and improve processes, embedding best practice.
  • Develop frameworks and methodologies for measuring social impact and linking activities to outcomes (e.g., participation, inclusion, community well‑being, health, education).
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership, funders, and trustees to support strategic decision‑making and fundraising.
  • Train and support staff on data capture, reporting, and system usage.
  • Champion a culture of evidence‑based impact measurement throughout the Foundation, ensuring data drives decision‑making and organisational improvement.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a data, insights, or impact measurement role, ideally within charities, social enterprises, or corporate social responsibility programmes.
  • Strong Salesforce or CRM skills, including reporting, dashboards, and process improvement.
  • Advanced data analysis capabilities using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of impact measurement frameworks (e.g., SROI, Theory of Change, Social Value UK standards) desirable.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of turning complex data into compelling impact stories.
  • Passion for social impact, community engagement, and improving lives through evidence‑informed programmes.

  • Stay informed on relevant reports, trends, policies, strategies, and practices at local, national, and international levels.
