Capgemini is seeking a Senior Data Governance Consultant for Microsoft Purview in the UK. You will design and deliver enterprise-scale data governance, compliance, risk, and security solutions using Purview, guiding senior client stakeholders and aligning with enterprise security frameworks.

Role requires extensive experience with Purview components, Azure, 365 security, and integration across data platforms; hybrid working model offered with client sites and offices in the UK.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in architecture roles across data, security, compliance, or cloud platforms.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Microsoft Purview solutions.
• Strong background in Microsoft 365, Azure, and data governance programmes.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Purview solutions across Data Governance, Information Protection, DLP, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management.
• Lead discovery workshops to translate business, regulatory, and technical requirements into architectural designs.
• Define Purview deployment roadmaps, operating models, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee integration with Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, on-premises repositories, and third-party systems.
• Act as primary technical advisor for client senior stakeholders.

You will advise senior clients stakeholder groups as to how to use Purview to support Data Governance outcomes across operational domains, by enlisting the support of the relevant Business Data Owners, Data Stewards and other Data SMEs, by providing Data Management expertise and by communicating the conceptual vision.[DP1.1]The Senior Data Governance Consultant for Microsoft Purview is responsible for designing, leading, and delivering enterprise scale data governance, compliance, risk, and security solutions using the Microsoft Purview suite. This role ensures organisations maximise the value of their data estate while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements.Key responsibilities include:* Develop the conceptual vision of a Purview based implementation in terms of outcomes, value and capability milestones.* Design end to end Microsoft Purview solutions across Data Governance, Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management.* Develop scalable architecture and integration patterns aligned with enterprise standards and security frameworks.* Lead discovery workshops to translate business, regulatory, and technical requirements into architectural designs.* Define Purview deployment roadmaps, operating models, and governance frameworks.* Ensure architectural compliance with data protection, privacy, and regulatory obligations* Lead technical delivery teams through implementation, configuration, and optimisation* Oversee integration with Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, on premises repositories, and third party systems.* Provide expert guidance on labelling, classification, retention, data lifecycle, and governance workflows.* Troubleshoot complex issues and lead resolution across data platforms, security, and identity domains.* Act as the primary technical advisor for client senior stakeholders* Produce high quality architectural documentation, solution designs, and presentations.* Support organisations in developing data governance strategies and Purview adoption plans.You may also offer insights to the wider community through blogs, articles and social media.At Capgemini, we believe in bringing your whole self to work.
