Standard Life is seeking a Data Governance & Quality Associate to join the Data Governance team within the Business Control & Governance function. The role focuses on establishing an asset data governance framework and ensuring data quality, collaborating with data owners, stewards and technology teams across Asset Management.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to data governance capabilities at Standard Life, with flexible working options and a 6-month FTC.

Qualifications

• Experience in a data-related function within financial services
• Excel (Intermediate) and MS Office proficiency
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Strong data and analytical skills
• Good presentation and facilitation skills
• Understanding of data concepts, quality tools and data management systems

Responsibilities

• Drive the maturity of the Data Governance framework and promote policies, standards and principles
• Create minimum standards for data dictionary and data quality validation rules
• Maintain core metadata and business glossaries across Asset Management
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards to resolve data issues
• Report metrics on Data Governance adoption and data quality
• Identify data quality gaps and coordinate remediation with tech teams
• Manage Data Governance forum inputs/outputs and timelines
• Define business requirements clearly for delivery teams
