A leading financial institution in the UK is seeking a Data Governance Manager to oversee data governance policies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data management practices. The ideal candidate should have experience in data governance activities and familiarity with Collibra. This role offers a competitive salary of £65,385 to £79,915 plus an extensive benefits package. The position is hybrid, based in Chester or Manchester.

HOURS: 35 hours, full time.
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time at either of our Chester or Manchester hubs.

The Data Management Team in Cards is supporting the fast-growing Cards platform delivering the Cards business acquisition, engagement & data requirements. As a Data Manager you'll own and implement the data governance policies and procedures establishing and enforcing data management standards to ensure consistency and compliance, aligned to the Groups and Divisional Data Offices.

Working within the Data Management Team in the Cards Platform the purpose of Data Manager role is to manage the development and implementation of the Groups data policy & lifecycle, aligning to Producer / Consumer and Data Side of Change accountabilities. You'll be collaborating with Cards Platform Data Lead, Business and Technical Platform colleagues including, Product Owners, Engineers, Integrators and CDAO, the Consumer Data Lab and the CL Data Office.

About you
Career background working as a Data Manager & exposure to Data Governance activities.
Working knowledge of Collibra for Metadata Management.
Tasks to ensure platform application metadata complies with policy via annual reviews and updates through change.
Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, data privacy and data controls, plus how they strategically fit in a large-scale organisation.
Good working knowledge of data policies and controls.
Experience presenting & reporting to a range of key stakeholders.
Experience supporting & managing a small team or developing junior staff.
If you have any exposure to financial services or credit card products that would be advantageous.
