Methods is a UK-based IT Services Consultancy specialising in transformation and data governance. The Domain Expert—Data Governance, Stewardship & Information Management role focuses on building data foundations for trusted analytics, AI, regulatory confidence, and secure data access across large, complex organisations.

You will lead engagements for public-sector and regulated clients, shaping governance models, policies and roadmaps, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and sales

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in data governance, information management, data quality, master data management, metadata management, data strategy, information governance or related consulting work.
• Experience as trusted advisor to senior data, technology, risk, compliance or transformation stakeholders.
• Consulting experience in the public sector, regulated industries or large complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead data governance, stewardship and information management engagements for public-sector and regulated-industry clients.
• Define data governance operating models at enterprise, domain or programme level including data ownership and accountability.
• Develop data policies, standards and controls covering quality, metadata, lineage, access, retention and lifecycle.
• Shape master data management and reference data strategies including golden source principles.
• Assess and improve data quality and accountability mechanisms.
• Support data sharing, interoperability and data access models across departments and partners.
• Advise on information governance, privacy, DLP and secure data access with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Help clients make data assets AI-ready through documentation, governance and controls.
• Shape implementation roadmaps for catalogues, data quality tooling and metadata management.
• Support sales bids by shaping data governance and AI-readiness propositions.
