Job Title: Data Governance Analyst
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: London
Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based (one Friday a month minimum)

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Data Governance Analyst to join our Data team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in strengthening and evolving RLAM's data governance and data quality, ensuring our data is accurate, consistent, and timely for business consumers.

About the role
  • Support the implementation of the Royal London Group Data Governance and Group Data Policies within RLAM.
  • Monitor and oversee data-related controls, including data governance framework risks.
  • Fulfil Functional Data Steward responsibilities to ensure data assets adhere to security, protection, privacy, and quality standards (GDPR compliance).
  • Act as a point of contact for Group Data Governance and Policy matters, engaging with business stakeholders to embed policies and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain data inventories and records of processing.
  • Oversee the development of the data inventory and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
  • Support the business in identifying and complying with data governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Data Management, Business, Change, and Technology teams to ensure effective data stewardship and compliance.
  • Provide expertise for data governance and data quality across RLAM.
  • Communicate data governance and data quality in a compelling, impactful way.
About you
  • Experience in data governance, including understanding of data risks, GDPR, and operational risk management.
  • Knowledge of metadata, lineage and data quality processes.
  • Understanding of Asset Management, including Institutional, Wholesale, and Insurance client servicing needs.
  • Analytical and systems skills, basic finance knowledge, and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Visio) and commonly used tools such as Snowflake and Solidatus or equivalent data governance tools.
  • Experience building dashboards in PowerBI and Sigma Snowflake.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity, prioritise effectively, and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with a passion for creativity and a customer-focused mindset.
