Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a Data-Focused Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of data products that drive business value. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology, requiring collaboration with engineering, analytics, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will shape product vision, prioritise opportunities, ensure data products deliver measurable outcomes, and work across PM, data engineering, and governance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products and platforms.
  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into a clear, prioritised backlog and product roadmap.
  • Partner with Data Engineers, Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver valuable data-led solutions.
  • Use evidence, insights, and user needs to drive product decisions and prioritisation.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, workshops, and decision-making forums.
  • Champion data quality, governance, and best practices across the product lifecycle.
  • Support and guide multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and outcomes.
  • Balance business objectives, technical constraints, governance requirements, and user needs.
  • Build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups while maintaining focus on delivery and outcomes.
  • Communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working within, or delivering digital products and services for the UK public sector.
  • Strong understanding of public sector delivery, governance, accessibility standards, and user-centred design principles.

Location: Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London or Bristol

Working Pattern: Hybrid – candidates should be willing to travel to office and client sites as required, with an expectation of at least 2 days per week on-site.

We're looking for a Data-Focused Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of data products that drive business value. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology, requiring someone who can translate complex requirements into clear priorities while working closely with engineering, analytics, and stakeholder groups.

You'll be responsible for shaping product vision, aligning stakeholders, prioritising opportunities, and ensuring data products deliver measurable outcomes for users and the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products and platforms.
  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into a clear, prioritised backlog and product roadmap.
  • Partner with Data Engineers, Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver valuable data-led solutions.

Skills & Experience

  • Product Management experience with ownership of product strategy, roadmap, and prioritisation.
  • Strong background in data engineering, data platforms, or data products.
  • Experience designing and building data warehouses.
  • Good understanding of data architecture and data modelling.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence across teams.
  • Ability to translate complex, competing business and technical requirements into clear product priorities.
  • Knowledge of data governance, including data quality, standards, and data certification.
  • Experience working collaboratively across engineering, analytics, and business functions.
  • Ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups while making informed decisions when required.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and workshop leadership skills.
  • Experience working within, or delivering digital products and services for, the UK public sector.
  • Strong understanding of public sector delivery, governance, accessibility standards, and user-centred design principles.
