Position

A growing Microsoft Partner Consultancy is looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join their impressive team and work on cutting‑edge projects for a variety of customers. The role is home‑based, with occasional travel to client sites, conferences, and events (expenses‑paid). Candidates based across the UK are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an Agile team to deliver modern data solutions, enabling better decision‑making and driving innovation.
• Lead projects end‑to‑end: run workshops to gather requirements, design solutions, develop, implement, and support data engineering pipelines.
• Design and build data ingestion, storage (data lakes or warehouses), processing, management, analytics, and visualisation solutions using Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Fabric, Databricks, Power BI, and other latest technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Data Engineering (or similar) role.
• Strong scripting skills in SQL; Python is a bonus.
• Designing and developing ETL/ELT processes on Azure (Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, or Fabric).
• Knowledge of data lakes and medallion lake‑house architecture.
• Working knowledge of Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Microsoft Certifications are desirable but not essential.
