Hybrid - Telford (2 days per week on-site)
£530 per day (PAYE only)
6-month contract
Active SC Clearance required

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a newly formed scrum team working on a large-scale, data-driven platform within a highly regulated public sector environment. This role focuses on developing and enhancing core data acquisition, ingestion, and risking services that support critical analytics and decision‑making.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable data pipelines and integration services, consolidating multiple data sources into a unified, high-performance platform. The work supports complex analytical and BI workloads using modern data engineering, AWS, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy data integration and transformation solutions
  • Develop scalable data pipelines and services for analytics and BI platforms
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum delivery and continuous improvement
  • Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met
  • Troubleshoot complex data and performance issues
