Data Engineer – Oracle DW & BI Pipelines

Job summary

FDJ UNITED is seeking a data engineer to build and run data pipelines, ingesting from Oracle sources and APIs into our Oracle data warehouse. You will write SQL/PLSQL, design data models (3NF, Star, Snowflake), and develop dashboards with Power BI in an Agile team.

You bring 5+ years in data engineering, strong Oracle 19c+ experience, warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT, and cloud familiarity (AWS Redshift/RDS). Bonus familiarity with dbt and CI/CD will help you improve data quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Solid Oracle 19c+ experience with SQL and PL/SQL in production.
• 5+ years with large datasets in data engineering or similar role.
• Strong data warehousing knowledge and data modelling (Star/Snowflake/3NF).
• Experience tuning SQL/PLSQL queries for reports and data extracts.
• Hands-on with cloud data platforms, preferably AWS (Redshift/RDS).
• Exposure to dbt or similar data transformation tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Interest in learning new tools and improving data quality.

Responsibilities

• Build and run data pipelines ingesting data from Oracle databases, APIs, and SFTP into our Oracle data warehouse.
• Write and maintain SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle 19c+) for data processing, reporting, and analytics.
• Help design and maintain data models (3NF, Star, Snowflake) that support reporting and downstream applications.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI.
• Investigate data issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and help resolve data and reporting problems for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs and help turn them into practical data solutions.
• Help support our data platforms, including participating in on‑call and incident handling on a rotation.
• Work in an Agile team, contributing to planning, delivery, and continuous improvement.
