Who we are looking for :

You are excited by helping customers with data plumbing problems getting from A to B; but still an engineer at heart working to best practise in-mind. You learn fast and love to build.

Cloud experience is essential hands-on skills in Azure preferred.

All backgrounds will always be considered and experience here is far more important were after someone with a numerate background and proven experience working in a data engineering role in an Azure ecosystem.

Required Experience :

• Creating mapping specifications between legacy and CRM ERP Finance applications
• Integration to D365 Dataverse solutions or other SaaS applications

Data Quality Frameworks : Great Expectations DBT

Creation of fault-tolerant data ingestion pipelines in SSIS / KWS / Data Factory / data flows using Linked Services Integration Datasets

Extracting data from a variety of sources including SQL databases document databases graph databases web APIs etc.

Building dashboards to reconcile migrated data

Desirable experience :

• Azure data certifications

Azure Synapse :

• Synapse-link on-demand SQL engine dedicated SQL pool
• Writing unit tests git Version control
• Awareness of reliability patterns in ETL pipelines
• Use of python in Jupyter notebooks for data processing
• Azure storage technologies and cost / performance characteristics
• Power BI DAX data flows
• Techniques and tools for sanitizing data prior to use
• Awareness of Kimball modelling techniques
