Job summary

Sanderson is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric expertise to own and develop the data platform, pipelines and reporting that support the business. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product and commercial teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure data solutions that are trusted across the organisation.

In this role you will build robust data pipelines from MongoDB, APIs and third‑party sources using SQL and Spark, and drive governance, quality checks and GDPR/PII

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines with SQL, Spark, and modern data modelling.
• Strong Microsoft Fabric expertise and platform ownership.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, product and commercial teams.
• Understanding of data governance, GDPR/PII, and security.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and semantic models.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimise the Fabric environment including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse and Data Factory.
• Build and orchestrate data pipelines from MongoDB and APIs using SQL and Spark.
• Apply data governance, profiling and quality checks to ensure trusted data.
• Partner with engineering, product and commercial teams to translate requirements.
• Implement Git, CI/CD pipelines and security best practices with GDPR/PII controls.
