Job summary

Principle HR in London is seeking a Data Engineer to join a leading global technology company. The role focuses on data infrastructure, analytics and security reporting. Hybrid work with three days onsite.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL and Python skills, experience building end-to-end data pipelines, and can turn complex datasets into business insights. You will own independent engineering projects and contribute to critical metrics.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant data engineering or analytics engineering experience.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex queries and performance tuning.
• Hands-on Python programming for data pipelines.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience creating dashboards and data visualisations.
• Experience using AI coding tools in workflows.
• Understanding of data modelling and analytics infrastructure.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and deliver independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation and performance.
• Use Python to develop and maintain scalable data processes.
• Build reporting datasets, dashboards and visualisations to track metrics.
• Develop data models and infrastructure supporting reliable analytics.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity.
• Investigate data issues, debug pipelines and implement data quality checks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Independently deliver engineering projects from design through implementation.
