Job summary

Venturi is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Consultant for UK-wide, hybrid engagements with a focus on cloud-native data transformations. You will design and deliver scalable data solutions across client projects using modern platforms such as Databricks, PySpark, Python and SQL.

You will lead technical workstreams, mentor junior consultants, and help clients adopt best practices in data quality, governance and architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience delivering modern Data Engineering solutions.
• Experience with Databricks and PySpark.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience building and optimising cloud-based data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and modern data architecture principles.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing modern data platforms using Databricks and cloud technologies.
• Building robust, scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Python.
• Creating efficient ELT/ETL processes and implementing best practices around data quality and governance.
• Optimising data models and data architectures for performance and scalability.
• Collaborating with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, Analysts and wider engineering teams.
• Leading technical workstreams and contributing to successful end-to-end project delivery.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior consultants where appropriate.
• Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and helping clients adopt modern data engineering practices.
