Job summary

Paragon Alpha is seeking a Data Engineer in London to build out the research infrastructure and data platforms for our European Gas desk as we expand.

You will work with Python, AWS, ETL and Airflow to manage time series and market data, interfacing with PMs and traders to ensure bespoke software solutions for a tier-one hedge fund. The role offers exposure to systematic trading development and a flat structure where developers team with PMs and traders.

Qualifications

• Experience building data platforms and research infrastructure.
• Exposure to commodities or energy markets desirable.
• Strong knowledge of time series data and market data.
• Experience with trading data pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines to support the European Gas desk.
