Sense is seeking a Data Engineer to join the data team in Birmingham. You will design, build and optimise data pipelines and ETL processes, leveraging Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse and Data Lake.

The role focuses on data quality, accessibility and scalable solutions to support reporting and decision-making. You will work with colleagues across the organisation, using SQL, Python, and C#/.NET to create reliable data platforms.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation and optimisation.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies: Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse and Data Lake.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for CI/CD and version control.
• Programming experience in Python, .NET or similar languages.
• Good communication and collaboration across teams.
• Experience with ReactJS or C# is a bonus, not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes from multiple sources.
• Build and manage solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse and Data Lake.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, data models and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Create applications and automation using Python, .NET and C#.
• Ensure data infrastructure is secure, reliable and performant.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and identify improvement opportunities.
• Explore new technologies to enhance data capabilities.
