Job summary

Leidos UK & Europe is seeking Data Engineers for future vacancies across Bristol, Farnborough or Whiteley (Hampshire). This role requires strong data engineering fundamentals and the ability to design modern data products for government and commercial programmes.

You will work with programme teams and solution engineers, contributing to bid and delivery efforts while navigating security clearance requirements. Leidos emphasizes growth, learning, and enabling staff development across the UK.

  • Large‑scale Data Management (petabytes).
  • Understanding or experience working within a Scaled Agile, or Agile delivery methodology.
  • Understanding of operating within a secure by design delivery approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data engineer skills and produce solution designs as part of both bid and delivery processes
  • Work with delivery teams to design and implement modern, scalable data products using a range of new and emerging technologies
  • Lead on all data solution aspects including setting data standards and providing your deep technical expertise to Leidos programme teams
  • Utilise the concepts and principles of data modelling and produce relevant data models across multiple subject areas
  • Collaborate with customers on all aspects of data management including the assurance and integration of data services to meet the needs of multiple lines of business
  • Recognise and exploit business opportunity by leveraging data engineering and design best practice
  • Communicate effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context

Key Responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer, you will work alongside our Programme Teams, Business Development Teams and Solution Engineers you will also help to provide solutions for strategic customers', supporting business outcomes for critical national industries. You will need to be eligible to undergo security clearance.

You will focus on the use of modern technologies across a wide range of industries, leaning towards government organisations and national security agencies.

You must be willing to undergo SC or DV clearance dependent upon the security requirements for the role
