Job Overview

Victrex is seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our IT department in Business Intelligence. The role focuses on designing and building infrastructure to support the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources, ensuring the stability and performance of our data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, maintain, and configure data pipelines, platforms, and sources.
  • Integrate and validate new software and technical solutions.
  • Monitor and ensure the stability and performance of data pipelines.
  • Provide technical leadership to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners and business owners to address data quality issues.
  • Support existing business systems and BI via the Service Desk as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in technical leadership and delivering technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT solutions and data models, ideally within a manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • Experience with BI tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Power BI, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, advanced T‑SQL programming, and in‑depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with structured project management methodologies (e.g., AGILE, Kanban, PRINCE2).
  • Python and/or R programming skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ERP products, especially Dynamics 365.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals (desirable).
