As a Data Engineer, you'll design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that transform data into valuable business insights. Working with both structured and semi-structured data, you'll develop reliable, efficient solutions that help teams access the information they need when they need it.

You'll collaborate closely with analytics colleagues and stakeholders across the business, translating requirements into sustainable data engineering solutions that support both current and future needs.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality data pipelines
  • Working with multiple data sources to unlock insights from complex datasets
  • Translating business requirements into robust, sustainable data solutions and architectures
  • Collaborating with analytics teams to ensure data products are accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose
  • Maintaining and enhancing our existing reporting infrastructure, which currently includes a mixture of Microsoft Access and Azure-based solutions
  • Creating clear documentation that makes data structures and processes easy to understand and maintain
  • Supporting improvements in data quality, accessibility, governance, and reliability across the organisation
About You

You’ll be passionate about building data solutions that make a real difference and enjoy working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Significant experience working as a Data Engineer (typically around five years or more)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end data engineering solutions
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured datasets
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience

If you don't meet every requirement but believe you could be successful in this role, we'd still love to hear from you.

What We Offer
  • The opportunity to shape and improve the organisation's data foundations
  • Meaningful projects with visible business impact
  • A collaborative and supportive environment where ideas and innovation are encouraged
  • Opportunities to learn, develop, and grow within a developing Data & Analytics function
